Mountain Biking

​

​Aberdeenshire is renowned for some of the UK's best mountain bike trails. Bike Glenlivet is only a 20 minute drive from the cabin and offers outstanding cross country and free-ride trails, zip wire trail, café and bike hire. Tarland Trails also caters for riders of all ages and is a 30 minute drive from the cabin.

Whisky Trails

​

​Scotland is malt whisky country and many distilleries offer guided tours and tasting sessions. The world renowned Royal Lochnagar Distillery in Crathie and the Glenlivet Distillery in Ballindalloch are  only 30 minutes drive away. A 50 minute drive will take you to the stunning Macallan Distillery which offers tours, a cafe and dining experiences.

Hillwalking

​

​Walk directly from the cottage onto a number of routes which will take you over wild moors to serene valleys. You can also join the Old Military Road, a 4.5km route which finishes at the cabin woodland.

The Cairngorms offers unforgettable encounters with red deer, golden eagles, red squirrels, and elusive pine martens. Scotland’s largest national park is a haven for rare species, set against dramatic mountain backdrops.
